EAE has been the pioneer in designing and manufacturing all kinds of keyboards. More than 20 years ago we were among the first to build membrane covered short-travel keys which we still use today because of their reliability. These polyester front membranes stand out for their excellent processing performance, durability and their chemical resistance.

An aluminium carrier plate stabilizes the body and assures the electrical shielding. EAE’s short-travel keys stand out for their long endurance of 10⁶  operating cycles and a safe and convenient handling due to their little height of 4 mm. Such a keyboard equals a simple membrane keyboard, but shows a better reliability, greater stability and it has a significantly higher tactile feedback.

The PCB carries the keys as well as the controller electronics which saves plug connections and avoids causes of defect. Optionally the PCB can be equipped with LEDs in order to show status displays. Our keyboards have of course the usual interfaces like PS/2, RS232, USB or field bus.

Furthermore EAE provides long-travel keys which are absolutely reliable and persistent with a carbon pill on a gold contact as switching element. This technology as well is supplied with an IP65-protection.
