EAEs backlight technology with long-living LEDs as luminous sources is particularly suitable to make keys visible also at night in vehicles, on vessels and in aircrafts. A permanent illumination of the keys is assured as the light is dispersed via a diffuser element and brought to the front membrane.

The whole assembly is based on a reliable technology with short-travel keys and can be carried out with a small height of 8mm including the control electronics. We use this technology to realize e.g. backlit keyboards with trackballs for the control of radar and ECDIS for military and commercial vessels and for the front panels of radio units in helicopter cockpits.
